Welcome to the December edition of the VideoSDK Monthly Updates! As we close out the year, we’re launching our most significant platform update yet: a completely redesigned transparent billing system and new pricing for 2026.

On the product front, our AI Agents have gained a "brain" with Conversational Graph support, become more resilient with provider fallback and recovery, and we’ve rolled out powerful video optimization features across all our core SDKs. This is a huge one, let's get started!

New Billing Dashboard & Pricing for 2026

Our mission has always been to empower developers with world-class infrastructure. As we head into 2026, we're taking a massive leap forward by making our billing as scalable, transparent, and real-time as our infrastructure.

We have replaced traditional monthly billing with a high-performance Prepaid Wallet system, giving you complete visibility and control over your spending in real time.

Key Highlights of the New System:

• The Prepaid Wallet: No more month-end invoices. See your real-time balance and top up instantly.
• $20 "Start Building" Balance: Every new account now receives a one-time $20 free balance immediately upon signup. No credit card required.
• Simplified Plans: Our new Plans tab (Free, Pay-As-You-Go, Enterprise) makes it easy to find the right fit for your stage.
• On-Demand Scaling: Manage concurrency, agent sessions, and recording limits in real-time from the new "Usage Limits" tab.
• Redesigned Billing Dashboard: A cleaner, more intuitive experience to manage payments, view spending, and download invoices.

Major AI Advancements: Building Smarter, More Resilient Agents

This month, the Agents SDK hit its 50th release and gained some of its most powerful features to date, focusing on workflow control, reliability, and an expanded ecosystem.

Introducing Conversational Graphs (Agents SDK v0.0.51)

Give your agents a "brain." This groundbreaking feature lets you design stateful, deterministic agent workflows using states and transitions. It's the ultimate tool for building complex, reliable, and strictly controlled conversational AI, from customer support flows to structured data collection.

Unprecedented Reliability with Provider Fallback (Agents SDK v0.0.53)

Never worry about a single provider failure again. You can now configure a prioritized list of STT, LLM, and TTS providers. If a primary provider fails, the agent will automatically and seamlessly fall back to a secondary one, with cooldown-based recovery to switch back when the service is healthy.

Advanced Telephony & Agent Control (Agents SDK v0.0.48 & v0.0.49)

We've added a suite of powerful telephony features:

• SIP Call Transfer: Transfer an ongoing SIP call to another phone number or SIP endpoint.
• Multi-Agent Switch: Seamlessly hand off a conversation from one agent to another (e.g., from a general agent to a booking specialist), with optional context inheritance.
• DTMF Handling & Voicemail Detection: Capture keypad input and automatically detect voicemails to trigger callbacks.

An Ever-Expanding AI Ecosystem (Agents SDK v0.0.52 & v0.0.55)

We've massively expanded our plugin support, adding integrations for Google Vertex AI, xAI (Grok) Realtime Voice & LLM, MurfAI TTS, Ultravox Realtime, and Gladia.IO STT.

Core SDK Enhancements: Video Optimization & Quality Monitoring

We've rolled out powerful new features across our core SDKs to give you more control over video quality and a deeper understanding of stream health.

Advanced Video Track Optimization

Now available on JS, React, React Native, and Flutter SDKs, these new parameters in createCameraVideoTrack() give you granular control over quality and bandwidth:

• bitrateMode: Choose between high_quality, balanced, and bandwidth_optimized.
• maxLayer: Specify the maximum number of simulcast layers to publish.

Real-Time Quality Monitoring

Our iOS and Flutter SDKs now feature a Quality Limitation Event to detect bandwidth, network, or CPU issues on the local device, and a Stream State Change method/event to monitor remote streams for freeze, stuck, or recovery events.
